PIC16F877A and 2x16 LCD
I bought an LCD from bizchip.com. I tried to connect it based on the datasheet. However, there is nothing appears on the LCD..can somebody help me..??? plss.. thanks

change the contrast of the lcd. or leave pin 15,16 open ckt

there is a row of black squares in the top row.Im using PIC C compiler to display a word Testing using a simple programming.But it doesnt work.Is there anything that should be done b4 the LCD can be used?i.e. initialization,etc..
